Hey Rachael - I can not find your measurements thread. Where is the site you use to figure out your body fat %?

PS those are great before and after pics!!

Hey Rachael! You are looking amazing. Keep it up! I'm so proud of you!!! Hope your new home is working out :)
June 24 at 08:37 am
Thanks Rachael! I have to wait to go home and measure but I'm really interested in what my ending result % will be.

Hi Rachael! I came across an older thread in the community forums. Titled "Measurements" Just wondering... How do you calculate your body fat %?

Hey Rachael! We have not heard form the police yet, We are going to call after a while and see what the status is. I will not let them just throw this case out, I will be on them until justice is served. He deserves to serve time for this. I am more upset that someone entered my home uninvited. Everything he took is replaceable, but my privacy is not. I have gone from upset to mad about it now. It's just a sick feeling.
He got in through the back door. We have a sliding door (which is the WORST door to have... if you have one, replace it, soon!!) We are in process of saving to remodel at the end of the year, and that was one of the things that was to be replaced at that time. He didn't break it, he just popped it open with either a jimmy, or a screwdriver. We have a 2x4 that is fitted, but it wasn't in the base at the time. Then he just walked out the front door like it was nobody's business.
David has been making calls. We are getting the alarm activated, we are getting camera's and better locks for all the doors. It may seem too little too late, but this is stuff we had planned on doing all along, but just never did because of funds. Now, I don't care, I'd rather go in to debt for my safety and his than to go through this again.
I'll keep ya'll posted on what happens :)
I hope everything is better for you, is your a/c fixed yet??

Thanks Rachael for the words of encouragement! :) I don't wanna be an emotional eater! And I know I would feel way better if I just continue to eat right and workout.

I hope you have a great weekend, and once again thanks for the kind words!

Congrats on the 2+ lbs! Woot!

Hi Rachael! Yes, after seeing your progress pics actually, I decided to look for one in the area! It's a sprint-tri and it's Oct 25th. That is actually perfect since I told my fiance I wanted to do one before we have kids. Since we are going to try right away, I figured no time like now to do one!
The distances are: 5K run, 450 mile swim and 15 mile bike. I think that is totally attainable for a first timer! I already run 5K every week, I used to be a distance swimmer so my only concern is the bike, but I will get used to it! I rode last night for the first time, and well let's just say my rear is hurting! lol!
I am very excited to do this. As I said in one of the threads, I have recieved a lot of negative feedback from family and friends. Did you go through any of that? If so, how did you handle it? It actually hurts my feelings the way they are being, laughing at me, mocking me, literally no support. All that's doing to me is adding fuel to the fire, and now I'm determined!

Rachael,
Thanks for the StrongLife 5x5 link. I think I'm going to give it a try. It does make more sense to me but here's the problem... It will require that I go into that testosterone room at my Y because that's were all those free weights are. I don't know....

aww that's so sweet! I always wanted to be a professor! Professors can either make a student love what their in or despise it! Those awesome, passionate professors are what makes the world go round! haha, so I'm sort of a nerd as well!

I'd love, love LOVE to be married. But, financially speaking we're not able to. So, it will be worth it when we get there...haha, I'm learning patience. Apparently it's the key to ALL things in life.

and happy early anniversary! :) congratulations!

Hey Rach, yes I'm in school. Grad school. I graduated this year--and started doing some pre-reqs for my Master's. That's extremely impressive that you're a mechanical engineer.

I'm a film student ;) going into health administration.

haha...weird, I know!

that's awesome you're married, how long have u been with ur husband? I'd marry my bf in a second! but I wanna be out of grad school and in a job before we do... :/ sooo now I focus on school and fitness!

Hey, and you're so close to your goal! Almost to the 150's! :)
May 21 at 12:58 pm
can I just say you are ONE motivational young 23 year old! I didn't realize how close in age we are! :) That's awesome... :) I'm 22!
May 20 at 07:59 pm
Sorry if that was out of the blue, I read on one of the forums that you were getting the Polar F7.
May 20 at 07:58 pm
Hey Rachael!

I have the F6 model, so it has a couple less features then yours but if you find out some cool stuff that yours does let me know because even though I am pretty tech savvy, I just don't have the time to figure everything out right now. All I do is log the information I get from the workout in a spreadsheet so that someday I'll understand all of the information to compare my times.... hehe

I don't understand what the percentage of fat means based on my workout. It says I burned say 400 calories and 25% fat, or when I burn 800 calories it says 55% fat. So I am thinking of the 800 calories I burned 55% of it was from fat?

Rachael - did you agree to beta test the trainers? Is Matt keeping in touch? He sort of bailed on me May 7th.

Thanks so much for the words of encouragement.
I know I will get through the slump...... it's just ...impatience I guess. By the way: phantastic progress. Very inspiring!

Hey Rach
Gotta say the surgery was pretty bad... after the first operation one of the blood vessels (or something) in my stomach bled out, I had about 2 litres of blood bleeding out under my skin. Had to go into the ER and get it properly sealed... really really shouldn't have happened.

Luckily there was no harm done, just a lot of stress my family really didn't need. ATM i can't honestly say it was worthwhile, but ask me again in a few months when I've got some abs going :D Feeling a bit sore and tender at the moment but on the whole feel pretty good!
March 10 at 07:55 pm
LOVE the bikini! You're gonna look awesome in it. Now I need to find one for myself... hmmmmm.

Way to go Rachel. You look like you are on a role. Keep doin' what you are doin'. I am new to traineo but have been a yo-yo dieter for many years. You're doing it the right way!
February 22 at 08:33 am
I'm loving your weight graph! Slow and steady wins the race. :) Don't get frustrated when you don't "lose" weight from one week to the next; we both know it'll show up as a huge loss for one week. Keep it up girl! You're doing great. :-D
February 20 at 10:58 am
Awesome! Sounds like you're smashing it!

Keep me posted on your progress. It's always great hearing about your journey, you're a real inspiration!

All the best

Feel better. Those sinus woes are a pest when you're trying to Tri.
Great weight loss by the way.
Look at what you've done over the year!
Trick is to keep hope alive and "steady as she goes."
February 14 at 07:55 pm
Wow, your doing awesome!!! What kind of a workout are you doing?

Keep up the great work, and thanks for motivating me!
February 13 at 10:03 am
Wow!! You've lost more in the past 2 months than you did all of last year. BIG CONGRATS are in order! :)
February 01 at 10:10 am
Hey Rachael, I just found out Traineo has allowed to reset all data so ill prob be stopping in more often now. Sorry that I didn't weigh-in the last few weeks.
January 29 at 09:08 am
2.8 lbs!! I'm so excited for you! And I weigh a lb more since my weigh in, which I'm kind of glad for. 3+ lbs is too much in one week!
January 25 at 11:17 am
Hey girl! You are doing great! And you are an inspiration.
January 22 at 10:19 am
Wow! You did it! You stepped it up a notch and look how quickly you got back to where you were Dec 23rd!

I diet 5 days out of the week, during those days I consume around 1000 calories give or take a few, on the weekends I go off the diet, and probably consume around 1500-2000. I basically give my body a break if you will on the weekends, it's based sort around the idea of the low-carb diet of on diet 14 day's and off 3. But I don't really like the low-carb diet, tried it once and it makes you feel funny. So I sort of modified a version of my own, I eat more carbs than the atkins diet, but keep the calories down as well. Instead of an mostly meat low carb type of diet, I incorporated the juicing into my diet, I blend 5 vegetables and 4 fruits a day into a juice drink, loaded with vitamins and nutrients. I think that a person has to listen to their own bodies sometimes, because only they can make a diet tailored for themselves. In a funny way I'm eating a lot less, but at the same time it's a lot more healthy, and i'm starting to feel better to. You kind of get that lean and quick feeling you know. If you think about it, our ancestors did not have food waiting on them each day, they had to go out and gather it. They ate a lot of berries and fruits and sometimes meat if they were lucky, I like to conform my diet to that more natural role, it's surprising how fast the weight comes off. After I get the results I want, I plan on maintaing my weight this time and doing more hiking, martial arts training, and just adventuring just like I did when I was a kid!
